ThoughtWorks Studios, the Software Division of ThoughtWorks, is looking for Technical/Business Analysts to be part of the team building the next generation of practitioner centric Agile enablement tools. When you join us as a TBA, you will wear two hats - one of a business analyst and another of an exploratory tester. You bring a strong understanding of technology products and software development methodologies to understand complex and varied business requirements and collate them into logical feature sets and stories. You will work with a team of very smart developers and knowledgeable customers and should be comfortable gathering and acting on product feedback from a variety of sources.

The Product: Go

Go is a continuous integration and release management tool that helps businesses achieve agility throughout their application lifecycle. It's enshrines all that's great about continuous integration and extends that to continuous delivery, thereby enabling businesses to release software according to business needs, and not operational constraints.

Position and Responsibilities

• Understand a complex software domain (continuous integration and continuous delivery)
• Work with an agile development methodology
• Gather feedback and analyze user needs from a variety of sources
• Engage closely with developers to determine best technical implementation methods for features
• Thoroughly validate completed features
• Perform exploratory testing

Skills and Experience

• 4+years experience working in the software industry or with developing software products
• Solid communication and writing skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Experience working in complex technical domains (continuous integration preferred)
• Experience in testing (manual and automation) of software products.
• Good at exploratory testing & good knowledge in Java.
• Exposure to one or more scripting language like Ruby, Perl, Python etc.
• Participation in full life-cycle system development with teams of developers, analysts, and testers.
