ThoughtWorks Studios, the Software Division of ThoughtWorks, is looking for Sr Product Developers to be part of the team building the next generation of practitioner centric Agile enablement tools Our product suite doesn’t have the usual 'run of the mill' products but cutting edge development tools, built for the Agile domain. These tools are built using the latest technologies (such as Ruby on Rails, JRuby and advanced Java components). As a part of the Product Consultant team, you will not only have an opportunity to learn these technologies, but also the Agile project life cycle.

We are rapidly adding customers in 20+ countries in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. We are currently building a next generation Functional Testing tool at our Bangalore office, and we are looking to add smart, ambitious professionals to our team.

Position Summary

As a Product Developer, you perform a critical role. You will help build and architect a revolutionary next-generation of practitioner centric Agile enablement tools. You will be empowered to contribute to the development of our products in every way possible, along with their long term direction. We practice an agile approach to development, and strongly encourage innovation and participation.

Position and Responsibilities

• Working closely with Product Managers and SMEs to ensure the product evolves to meet future requirements.
• Lead technical implementation approaches on complex technical domains.
• Contribute to overall design and architectural changes on a software product.

Skills and Experience

• Experience practicing Test Driven Development, Refactoring, and iterative development.
• Very strong OO skills and expert Java skills.
• A degree of dissatisfaction with the status quo in functional/non-functional testing and have a deep passion for driving a new way forward.
• Ability to mentor team members and strong analytical skills to conceptualize solutions.
• Experience building high quality Software Products and familiarity with Eclipse is a huge plus.
