Delivery Manager
Delivery Assurance for projects by assessing risks and make appropriate recommendations.
Experience: 12 + Years
Location: Bangalore
As a delivery manager at ThoughtWorks you support world-class delivery of projects. You get to ensure that from proposal to Delivery, all projects are evaluated identifying all potential risks to successful delivery. You ensure plans are put in place to mitigate the identified risks and the plans are executed successfully. You also ensure our best practices are understood and leveraged by all delivery teams. You get to work closely with People (HR), Business Development, Account Management, Legal, and Finance functions to ensure that Delivery concerns are highlighted and taken into account, escalating issues to the management as appropriate.
Position and Responsibilities
- Review all outgoing bids in order to ensure that risks to delivery have been understood, considered and are being actively managed; escalating to management as appropriate.
- Collaborate with Technical Assurance resources to ensure all projects are reviewed regularly by Technical Assurance resources.
- Provide management with a fortnightly overview of project progress, with recommendations on necessary interventions or actions. Maintain a monthly status dashboard reporting the current health of projects.
- Champion the use of ThoughtWorks Studio products. Support and validate the success of TW Capabilities-based training activities.
- Build and maintain the operational infrastructure to support Delivery Assurance.
- Communicate and educate ThoughtWorkers about the delivery assurance process. Support Project Management, Business Analysis and Testing community leaders.
Skills and Experience
- Excellence in consulting, communication, coaching, leadership and organizational skills.
- Adept in project management practices, reporting, people management, organizational change management and engagement management.
- Confidence to be able to communicate difficult messages in a positive way. Strong orientation to people development with a flexible approach to work.
